Press Release: Ride and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over This Labor Day

[XENIA, OH] — As people prepare to celebrate Labor Day, Greene County Public Health’s Safe Communities Coalition and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) are reminding everyone to make safe choices when traveling. From August 19 through September 7, 2026, GCPH will share safety messages while local law enforcement will work with NHTSA on our Greene County roadways to help prevent crashes and save lives.

The public is invited to attend the kickoff of the Drive/Ride Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign with a press conference on Wednesday, August 12, at 9:00 a.m., at Greene County Public Health, located at 360 Wilson Drive in Xenia. Local law enforcement officers will share brief comments and answer questions about the upcoming enforcement period.
